Flight Information for South Africa

Travel dates to The Global Gathering are as follows:

Depart South Africa: Wednesday 10 July
Depart Lisbon: Sunday 14 July 

Group Flights

This year for main date travel there are FOUR (4) group blocks from from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban Airports.  If you require a domestic flight to one of these airports the GG team will manage. 

Group Blocks are ECONOMY class only, there are no group seats in premium economy or business class. 
Due to peak season in Europe group blocks are return flights only i.e cannot book one direction flight from group blocks.

Deviations from Group Blocks / Changes to Group Blocks  

There are a limited number of changes permitted on the Group Blocks and changes will be managed on a request basis subject to availability. If you would like to travel on different dates, please select OWN ARRANGEMENT in the flight selection process during registration.
 
Any applicable fare difference and a change fee will be charged and calculated based on availability at the time of request to the airline. The flight budget is ZAR 26,000 per person, any cost over this amount for changes/extension will be personally paid. 

Changes are NOT permitted on the outbound flights (to Lisbon).

You will not be reimbursed for flights if you book and ticket your own booking through another channel without approval. Approval is required from airmax@fctg.co.za.

Regional Connections

Domestic connecting flights will be booked for those travelling from regional ports. If accommodation is required at an airport, the GG Air Team will manage this.

Seating and Frequent Flyer Memberships  

The GG Air team can manage these requests, you can provide the information in the registration process.
 
For preferred seating where payment is required you will need to manage this directly on the airline's website via Manage Booking.

Changes to bookings after registration

Changes are NOT permitted after your registration has been completed.

Changes to Group Blocks AFTER departure are NOT permitted.
