Arrival Information

The below is the arrival process for your entry into Australia.

TRAVEL EXEMPTION

All passengers travelling to Australia must receive a travel exemption from Australian Border Force to enter the country. The FCM Travel Team will be applying for this travel exemption on your behalf. The details supplied in your registration will be used for this application. Once approved you will receive a copy of your travel exemption in your "Reminder" email.

AUSTRALIAN TRAVEL DECLARATION

You are required to submit an Australian Travel Declaration at least 72 hours before your departure for Australia. The Australia Travel Declaration collects your contact details in Australia, flight details, quarantine requirements and your health status. This information helps the Australian Government determine your quarantine arrangements and also allows the relevant health departments to contact you if someone you have travelled with tests positive for COVID-19. If you do not complete the declaration, you may not be able to board your flight, or you may experience delays when you arrive in Australia.

For more information about completing an Australian Travel Declaration please click here.

COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Masks remain mandatory at Sydney Airport. International travellers will continue to undergo health screening before being taken to a hotel for mandatory 14-day quarantine. For more details on quarantine arrangements please click here.

PASSPORT CONTORL

Passengers arriving on an international flight will need to participate in passport control processes. Please make sure you have your passport, visa (if applicable) and completed incoming passenger card which you will receive on board the aircraft. You will be required to go through passport control either electronically via SmartGate or manually with an Australian Border Force (ABF) Officer.

BIOSECURITY

To help protect Australia’s environment, the Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources and Australian Border Force Officers screen all incoming international passengers and their belongings. It is mandatory to declare certain items on your Incoming Passenger Card. Your bags may be checked as part of this process. If you have any specific enquiries regarding these procedures please contact the Department of Home Affairs or the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.
