You will receive a flight summary email upon the completion of your registration. This email will contain your flight schedule and basic information for travel to Australia. Your e-ticket will be sent to you once it has been issued by the airline. This ticket will provide information on checking in for your flights, baggage allowances, transiting airports and restrictions on liquids (this ticket is not a boarding pass).
You will need to complete an online Australia Travel Declaration at least 72 hours before your departure to Australia.
The Australia Travel Declaration collects your contact details in Australia, flight details, quarantine requirements and health status.
Once the declaration has been completed, you will receive an email with details you can show (either electronically or printed) before you board your flight and again on arrival in Australia.
Failure to complete a declaration may result in you being denied boarding or delays upon arrival in Australia.
All students must take a COVID-19 96 hours and 72 hours before their scheduled departure.
96 Hours - Students are requested to take a COVID-19 test approximately 96 hours before their scheduled flight departure. Please note that this test does not need to be a PCR test and can be a self-administered test, or a test taken at your local testing facility.
If you receive a positive COVID result you will be unable to travel and will need to contact the FCM Travel Team immediately, this will allow your seat to be resold to another student. Please refer to the FAQs page of the cancellation policy.
72 Hours - A negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result is required for travel to Australia. Evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken 72 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure must be provided to your airline when you check in.
If your flight is delayed, you will still be considered to have met the pre-departure testing requirements. You will not need a new test.
Please refer to the Australian Department of Health website for information on what must be shown in your COVID-19 PCR laboratory test result record, the preferred format for your test result record, what to do in the event of a positive or inconclusive test and what to do if you are a primary close contact of someone who has tested positive to COVID-19.
Your airline or local health authority can provide you with a list of recognised clinics, hospitals, or testing centres where you can get tested.
Face masks are required to be worn through all areas of International Airports. Passengers travelling on Singapore airlines are also required to wear medical surgical or advanced masks during check-in, during boarding, in the aircraft cabin, during disembarkation and when directed by the airport team or cabin crew. If wearing N95 masks, please use the model without a breathing valve.
Remember to bring along extra masks to ensure that you have sufficient supply throughout your journey, and to replace your face mask once it is damp. Before you dispose of your face mask, wrap it in tissue paper or put it in a plastic bag and seal tightly before disposing of it in a closed bin. Remember to wash your hands afterwards.
Before boarding, the temperature of all passengers will be checked by using contactless temperature detection equipment. Passengers with a fever will not be allowed to board their flight, and ground personnel will assist the local health department with the any follow-up procedures.
Check-in counters opens 3 hours prior to departure.
Please present your passport and ticket at the check-in counter to receive your boarding pass. The latest time for check-in is 60 minutes prior to departure for all passengers. Please note that if you attempt check-in any later than this, you may not be able to board the aircraft.
