Optus Policies

Standard of Conduct

As a participant in Champions Club 2024 and in your capacity as an employee/representative of Optus you are required to maintain a standard of conduct befitting one of Australia's highest profile companies at all times in Queensland. With the number of delegates participating in the Champions Club 2024 program, Optus will have a very strong presence at the Silky Oaks and throughout various locations in Port Douglas. Professional behaviours in accordance with Optus' policies will be expected at all times even though much of the event is outside of work hours. All the relevant standards of behaviour and policies will apply for those attending Champions Club 2024. These include the Code of ConductSocial Media PolicyAppropriate Workplace Behaviour Policy, and Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy. The Expense Reimbursement Policy and Corporate Credit Card Policy only applies to Optus employees.

Your attendance at Champions Club may be subject to Fringe Benefits Tax, which is paid by Optus, however a grossed-up amount may appear on your annual PAYG Payment Summary as a Reportable Fringe Benefit.

Guidelines

Transport to and from your home airport

You may use your corporate credit card for taxi transfers to and from your home and airport. If you do not have a corporate card, keep your taxi receipt, and claim your trip as an expense. Your manager will advise you of this process if you need further information.

Transportation for pre and post Champions Club travel

If you have arranged to extend your travel pre or post Champions Club 2024, airport transfers outside of the group dates are at your own expense.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is included through the Optus Travel Policy for the period of travel between 12-16 August 2024 only.
An extension to this policy cannot be arranged. If you are planning an extension, an alternative travel insurance policy is strongly recommended.

If you wish to extend without insurance you waive your right to pursue a claim through the Optus policy and release Optus and The Beyond Yes Team from any obligation or liability.

Please be aware that the majority of travel insurance companies don't cover you if the policy commences once you have left for your trip, therefore, you may need to purchase a policy for the entire duration of your trip.

Medical Information

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, we recommend you consult with your medical practitioner before deciding to attend.

In the unlikely event that you need medical assistance, please contact either a member of the Beyond Yes Events Team or hotel management for assistance. In the event of an emergency, please dial 000 for Australia’s Emergency line or 112 if you are in an area of questionable coverage.

Meals and Beverages

Your personalised itinerary (available via the Champions Club 2024 mobile app closer to event commencement) outlines the meals and beverages included as part of Champions Club 2024. If you choose to order room service, dine somewhere other than the arranged restaurants and cafes, or require alternative beverages than those provided, these costs must be covered at your own expense.

All other costs

Any personal incidental expenses must be paid directly to the hotel prior to your departure.

Any optional activities not included in the program or covered by the room credit provided by Optus, will be at your own cost and must be settled prior to departure.
