Travel Insurance

FCTG Global Gathering attendees will be covered for Travel Insurance for the period of the Event.

This will be either via a Company policy or via individual travel policies and will vary from country to country. Details on your Travel Insurance will be provided prior to departure but if you have any questions in the meantime, please contact your local Flight Manager.

The Covermore FCTG (AU/NZ) policy covers some pre-existing medical conditions (see page 9-12 of the PDS). It is your responsibility to check if a medical condition is covered under the FCTG policy. Any questions relating to medical conditions or if you require additional cover (an assessment will need to be completed), please email selena.byrnes@flightcentre.com.au.

If you do not qualify to be covered under the FCTG staff insurance policy please contact Travelwise (travelwise@flightcentre.com) who can assist with offering a discount off a personal policy.


Travel FAQs

Can I extend my trip to Los Angeles?  

Yes, only if you have approval from your leader and annual leave has been approved prior to your registering.  

We have group flights secured with some pre/post-dates and Own Arrangement allocation (limited number).  

You will be responsible for paying any additional fare/taxes and administration fees.  

Refer to the Flight Information section on the GG website and the FCTG leave policy.  

 

Who is my travel authoriser? 

Your Area Leader or Brand Leader can approve your Global extension.  

 

I am travelling from a regional port what is included? 

FCTG will pay for your domestic flights and airport accommodation IF required, pre departure or arrival home.  

You will need to select OTHER AIRPORT when registering and provide additional information, the GG Air team will manage your requirements.   

If you are not travelling on group flights and your flights do not connect on the same day, you will be responsible for the cost of accommodation. 

 

I am travelling on the Brisbane Charter flight, what happens for check in?  

Online check in is not available for the charter flight however there will be dedicated check in counters available at Brisbane International Airport. Arrive to the airport at least 3 hours prior to arrival. 

You will not earn frequent flyer points or status credits on the Charter. 

Lounge access is included on this charter if you have Qantas Club Membership, Gold or     Platinum Frequent Flyer Status or travelling in business class. 

Check in luggage is limited to 23kgs per person. 

You can request to sit next to a friend; however, this is not guaranteed. 

 

I am travelling on a Group, what does this mean for managing my booking?  

You cannot check in online. Your baggage allowance is 1PCE at 23KG  

Seating will be allocated automatically by the airline; you can advise your preference but not this is not guaranteed. We have allocated a group of seating together for all travelling to LAX and return.  

Once ticketed the ticket is not accessible online, you cannot check in online prior. You must arrive to the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.  

 

When will I get my E ticket? 

You will receive your E ticket information once ticketing of the group blocks has been completed. Due to the group sizes and registration staying open until early July this may not be until closer to departure (but before 48 hours of departure). The GG team appreciate your patience.  

For those doing Own Arrangements you will receive your E ticket once your booking has been finalised with the Travelwise Team.  

 

Can I choose a seat on my flight or request to sit next to my friends? 

Yes, you can request a preferred seat as part of your registration and the GG team will do their best to accommodate your request, however this is not guaranteed.  

Seating requests can only be done at point of registration, otherwise you can do at airport on arrival.
